WasteRecruit are working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy to source a Technical Director of Environmental Permitting.

In this role you will provide support to the environmental permitting department as well as other disciplines.

You will have responsibility for the performance of specific projects including research and development work. Additionally, all technical heads are responsible for every aspect of environment, health and safety compliance within their division.

Other responsibilities will include:

* Provision of technical support for the environmental monitoring of operational and closed landfill sites, supervision of site monitoring, data analysis and interpretation.

* The assessment and classification of hazardous wastes, providing advice on their management and disposal.

* Proofing responsibilities in compliance with the QA system as appropriate.

* Liaise with clients and regulatory authorities during projects.

* To provide training to other consultants as required.

To be considered for this role you must hold a BSc qualification in a relevant subject area and have significant experience in environmental permitting.
