Our client, a highly respected specialist insurer are currently looking for an experienced Claims Executive to join their large loss team. You will be responsible for managing high value and complex claims and providing technical advice and guidance to improve claims handling capability and deliver fair outcomes and excellent service to customers. You should ideally have a proven track record dealing with Property Claims in excess of £100,000 without referral, as the majority of the claims will be in excess of £250,000.

Key duties:

1. Manage a multi million pound portfolio of high value, complex and sensitive claims in line with Company Claims Philosophy, reserving accuracy standards and limits of authority, best practice and regulatory requirements to deliver efficient settlements, control of indemnity spend and fair outcomes for customers.

2. Develop, advise and monitor Regional and Group Corporate Business claims handling activity in accordance with procedures, Claims Philosophy, best practice and regulatory requirements to improve capability, control and consistency and support the delivery of objectives and KPIs.

3. Analyse, recommend and report on claims trends, lessons learnt, external developments and risks to enhance profitability, reputation and prevent claims.

4. Build and maintain effective relationships with Actuarial, Reinsurance, Underwriting, Executive Management, Customer Services and other departments, preferred partners, professional bodies and regulatory authorities to ensure the effective representation of the function and the effective delivery of objectives.
