Senior Mechanical Design Engineer required who has experience of automated machinery design projects. Each of our clients materials handling projects are unique and bespoke with the solution being tailored to the customer’s requirement.

Working with the project team, your role will be to:
Understand the customer’s requirement
Help design a solution from whole systems to individual piece parts
Define materials, specify tolerances, understand system constraints
Interface with the manufacturing team to produce a finished product
Oversee the assembly and testing of the final product
Oversee and mentor the development of more junior designers
Essential requirements to be considered for this role:
Highly qualified in Mechanical Engineering
Experienced in 3D CAD – AutoCAD Inventor ideal
Automated machinery design (PLC/PC controlled equipment)
Able to take an idea from concept to finished manufactured product
Background with the materials handling or machine tool sector
