Commercial Gas Engineer

Salary: £50,400 – £57,600 per year

My Client is a nationwide supplier of facilities maintenance services delivering M&E building services maintenance to the corporate, healthcare, education, retail, transport and manufacturing sectors across the UK.

Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer who has completed a recognised gas apprenticeship and holds current Commercial gas certificates ACS.

You would be required to undertake scheduled Planned Maintenance and reactive requirements in and around your assigned sites, as well as highlighting the need for repairs, and submitting & undertaking quotations for any necessary remedial work accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

Service and maintenance of gas appliances within commercial properties

Boiler fault finding experience within commercial properties

Attend reactive breakdowns to fault find, diagnose and repair

Carry out servicing and safety checks on all heating systems and identify any necessary works required to ensure that the heating systems are in good order and comply to current gas/oil safety regulations

You will also be required to update the Legal compliance documentation via a tablet (provided) to a high standard.

You will be required to provide job/quote updates to satisfy the internal CAFM system which provides live updates to our clients.

You will be required to manage your time, manage your workload, and communicate to your lead engineer on a frequent basis.

Necessary Skills

Essential:

• Extensive experience in General Building services
• Gas experience within the commercial sector e.g. analysing, fault finding, service, repair and maintenance on gas/heating installations and appliances
• To carry out repairs/replacement of plant, fixtures and fittings as required
• To carry out servicing and repairs of onsite plant, fixtures and fittings
• To organise various housekeeping tasks and arrangements
• Good communication & basic understanding of IT
• Full UK Driving Licence
