Accountant

Adecco are currently managing the recruitment of an exciting opportunity for a key member of staff for a local Accountancy firm in Bolton.

In this role you will provide support to the Head Accountant, working directly with clients who are Contractors, Freelancers or who own their own businesses.

Previous experience working in a similar environment would be advantageous.

You will be joining a progressive organisation, helping to drive the business forward whilst developing your own skills and experience. You will manage a portfolio of high level clients and must be comfortable communicating directly with CEO’s and other members of senior management. You will provide an excellent customer service, including tax advice.

Key responsibilities to include:

– Managing your own client portfolio,
– Preparation of Year-end Accounts,
– Preparation of Corporation Tax Returns and Personal Tax Returns,
– Payroll and VAT preparation,
– Meeting the demands of clients, handling phone and email queries,
– Securing new clients.

Desired Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Accountancy firm and will be either studying towards accountancy qualifications/ fully qualified or qualified by experience.

You will have experience of working within an accountancy practice in a mixed role – for example – accounts preparation, corporation, and personal tax returns, bookkeeping, VAT returns, tax advice, etc.

Good IT literacy in Excel, Word and proven experience working with finance software.

Ability to develop good relationships and strong interpersonal skills,

Self motivated, ambitious and accustomed to working to targets.
