Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year
A leading engineering design consultancy require a Principal Engineer to provide geotechnical support for their buildings and infrastructure team in Kingston Upon Thames. Suitable applicants will have expertise in FE analysis ideally with working knowledge of Plaxis 2D and 3D software.
We require candidates who have an academic background in Civil Engineering with a focus on geotechnical design. Any addition qualifications including membership of a relevant engineering body would put applicants at an advantage.
The successful candidate will be tasked with providing numerical and visual geotechnical solutions for a variety design an build projects. Applicants must demonstrate geotechnical design capabilities with specific knowledge of deep foundation design, earthwork assessment, slope stability and gravity embedded retaining wall design. It is essential that candidates are highly numerical with a grasp of analytical software packages such as Plaxis and Slope W.
Additional duties may include team management, business development and client liaison.
