Our Client
A quickly expanding waste management company based in Greater London, serving London and the surrounding area’s.

The Role
We are currently looking for 2 Traffic Controllers, one day shift and one night shift, to join our clients quickly expanding team. Your key responsibility as a Traffic Controller is to supervise all fleet and staff within the busy depot ensuring an effective service is delivered.

· Order processing of work which includes dealing with orders received via telephone, email, fax or post
· Liaise with drivers (briefing and de-briefing) to ensure competition of work allocated to the vehicle for that day
· Ensure efficient cost effective routes are delivered utilising the fleet
· Liaising with drivers with route changes, delivery changes and traffic updates
· Effectively handle and resolve day-to-day issues identified by drivers or reported by customers relating to any work. Understanding when to escalate a problem or query
· Administer all the drivers work sheets on a daily basis
· Liaising with internal departments
· To ensure that all traffic activities are accurately documented and recorded against performance criteria
· Management of CPC Training
· Management of Tachos and drivers hours IE; Infringements are dealt with.
· Vehicle maintenance – ensuring that all vehicles are sent for inspections and MOT’s

Person Specification
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience within a similar position i.e. Transport Supervisor, Traffic Dispatcher etc. Experience in working with Skips, Roros and Rollonoffs will be advantageous. A CPC will benefit the candidate but is not essential for the position. An extensive knowledge of UK road and traffic legislation is essential as well as being familiar with the working time directive in relation HGV Drivers.
