Stores Operative

This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Ambitions Personnel who are acting as an employment agency.

We are currently recruiting for a full time stores operative to work for our clients at a busy food factory in Huntingdon.

Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for the correct and safe handling of incoming and outward going stock.

All applicants MUST have previous experience within a stores or warehouse environment and be trained on counter balance.

You will need to have a full understanding of sscc labeling. In addition, you will need to be fully conversant with MFG pro, Excel, Email, Intranet and Merlin.

Duties may include the following:

•Receive raw materials into the factory and complete all relevant documentation
•Ensure correct storage of raw materials and finished goods in order to preserve materials/product integrity and identification
•Ensure the correct stocks are available to production in the correct areas
•Follow the correct procedure for the dispatch of finished goods
•To carry out full weekly cycle counts
•Ensure stock rotation is carried out properly
•Pallet quality and quantity control
•Carry out the full range of duties required by the Stores Grading System

Shifts are Monday – Friday (can include some weekends)

Hours: Shift Patterned, double days.

Candidates must be flexible and able to work overtime if required, hours can vary depending upon volume

•Computer literate
•Willingness to embrace and develop new ideas

Desirable

•Intermediate food hygiene qualification
•HACCP experience
