Steelwork Designer

Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per year

Steelwork Designer.

Based in Yorkshire, our client is a very successful Engineering company that now seek an additional Steelwork Designer to join their busy team. Excellent, permanent PAYE position with excellent salary and benefits on offer.

Projects undertaken are varied but include the likes of schools, hospitals, retail complexes etc.

Design Duties include:

• Producing structural engineering calculations for a range of structures (buildings) that include light gauge frames, hot rolled steelwork and composite floor slabs etc.
• Liaising with clients and other project stakeholders as required.
• Checking designs and other work produced by the internal engineering team.
• Attending design meetings etc as required.

Candidate requirements:

• You should be a qualified Structural Engineer with experience working as a lead Engineer on projects.
• Ability to undertake calculations by hand and spreadsheets as required. Experience using software such as Trimble building designer, Teds etc would also be advantageous.

This is a full time permanent PAYE position and open only to candidates who are currently eligible to work in the UK. Candidates requiring a work permit / visa / sponsorship will not be considered.
