Social Worker – Childrens Services -Monmouthshire

A Qualified Social Worker is required on a full time to fulfil a locum contracts, for an initial 3 month contract based in Magor, Monmouthshire. Pay rate for this position is between £26.23PAYE and £29 Ltd.

Duties and responsibilities of this position include:

-Managing a caseload with some complex cases

-Safety, care and development of children within these families

-Addressing problems that can be of child neglect, physical, emotional and sexual abuse.

-Engaging with families

-CP conferences

-Communicating with the support services and major professional agencies

-Decision making around issues of child protection that may end in the court arena.

In order to apply for this role you will need to have the following:

-Experience of intake and assessment is essential

-Experience of Child Protection and court processes

-Access to a car

-A minimum of 12 months post qualified experience within children’s services

-Social Work Qualification with Care Council for Wales registration
