A great opportunity to join a successful manufacturer to produce weekly production plans and provide support to the members if the team ensuring products accuracy and efficiency.

• The creation and continuous update of the production plan ensuring customer demand is met through effective work centre loading and capacity utilization, whilst taking into account all the usual variables i.e. Capacity, timelines, resource, urgency and material availability using the APS system.

• Driving adherence to plan through managing the planning, release and timely execution of works orders in line with customer demand

• Co-ordination of rework through the shop floor ensuring all costs are captured

• Providing leadership and the ability to introduce continuous improvement to the planning process

• Leading the team in the analysis of variances and corrective actions with a view to actively reducing variances month by month.

• Working with the Procurement Team, Quality Assurance and Production Manager to drive the resolution of material issues and shortages.

• Working closely with R&D, Procurement Engineer and Manufacturing to schedule new products into production, ensuring that all the relevant information is captured on the first time run and set up for future runs

• Conducting regular informal employee reviews and annual performance reviews

• Chairing weekly production meetings ensuring that all relevant personnel are informed of any delays via the despatch communications spreadsheet

• Creating all BOMs and item master set up for all products in a timely and efficient manner

• Processing and reporting of month end

The ideal candidate will have production planning experience with working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
