Conveyor Maintenance Technician

I am recruiting for a Conveyor Maintenance Technician working directly for the Facilities and H & S Manager as part of a team, your main duties will be the servicing and maintenance of the conveyor systems. You will need to have knowledge in AMHE equipment and able to service the equipment in accordance to the quality standards as set out in the equipment manuals.

You will need to have experience in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and require a working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals and drawings.

In addition you will be called upon to assist in other areas of maintenance including: inspection of the real estate; general repairs to plaster, brick work, floors and roofing and the maintenance of building and work registers. Therefore, experience and knowledge in construction would be advantageous.

Good communication and interpersonal skills is essential to this position. You will also be called upon to assist with the testing of the sprinkler system in place and emergency light testing keeping accurate records of tests carried out.

Working 40 hours per week, all applicants must be flexible in their approach to work and duties, be numerate physically fit and confident. Must be willing to train on and work with machinery, which involve working at heights.

Shift Rota – Alternating weeks

6.00 am to 14.30 pm and 14.00 pm to 22.30 pm

Minimum of 2 weekends in any four weekends to work on a Saturday to be on-call cover
