Welders

Salary: £21.6 – £22.8 per hour

Our client was founded as a small general engineering company in 1982. Since then they have become a leading manufacturer and global exporter of stainless steel and have been manufacturing engineered products customised to suit projects designed by architects and consulting engineers.. Due to continued expansion, they currently have full-time, permanent vacancies for Welder / Fabricators.

Responsibilities:

* Welding in steel

* Metal fabrication

* Cutting materials

* Threading, bending and folding materials

* Polishing and buffing for high quality finish

Essential experience and skills:

* Time served SOLAS recognised Trades Certification or similar standard

* 2 years previous experience in the manufacture of Mild Steel or Stainless-Steel fabrications.

* A high standard of welding experience to a suitable standard in MIG /MAG/ TIG welding.

* Ability to produce parts to drawing specifications.

* Ability to read and interpret drawings and build to strict tolerances.

* Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadline

* Ability to work in a busy team with a “can do” attitude

* Day shift work will be a requirement for the role (Mon – Fri = 6am – 2pm or 12pm – 8pm)

Preferable experience and skills

Working knowledge of other metal processing equipment such as CNC lasers, saws and CNC milling machines would be an advantage but not essential.
