Aoi Operator (Automatic Optical Inspection)

Automatic Optical Inspector (AOI) required for growing and very successful electronics sub-contractor based in Basildon, Essex.

You will be responsible for the inspection of PCB’s to the required level including optical and visual inspection.

Main duties will include:

Visually and optically inspect PCBs for conformance to the correct issue of specifications and drawings
Inspect printed circuit boards to check the soldering and components are correctly placed, making full use of the appropriate inspection tools including AOI
Raise appropriate rectification notes where non-conformance is identified and reference these on the relevant route card/documentation
Liaise with QA engineer to investigate any component issues when required
Ensure that all work is maintained to a high standard

Experience required:

Previous experience in a similar role is essential
Experience of re-work and soldering of SMD (surface mount devices) components
IPC 610 qualified would be desirable
Hours are 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 1.30pm on Fridays

Salary: £26,000per yearnegotiable
