Although applicants must have experience and exposure to leading lean projects and improvement activities. Additional training will be offered.

Currently looking to hire a Continuous Improvement Lead for a global FMCG manufacturer in the Nottingham area. The company are expanding and growing, looking to hire talent seeking progression. As Continuous Improvement Lead the role will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the companies Operational Excellence strategy, with a clear objective to become the industry best in class.
Description
Reporting into the Operations Transformation Manager and forming part of the local Transformation Team the role will be responsible for:
- Collaborating and partnering with employees at various levels to drive consistent and timely implementation of improvement initiatives and lean management practices.
- Supporting timely implementation of improvement initiatives and realising identified objectives.
- Building credibility and momentum of the transformation initiatives through engaging with all employees.
- Training employees in improvement tools and methodologies and supporting them in their deployment through ongoing coaching.
- Assessing the level of engagement to transformation activity and having the ability to intervene tactically where required.
- Developing solutions and resolving complex issues through analytical, technical, and organisational experience.
- Maintaining regular communication to employees that actively builds on the transformation journey.
Profile
Applicants should be:
- An experienced Manager with operational management experience.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and practices.
- Career driven with aspiration towards a leadership role within 2-3 years.
- Able to develop, implement, and manage data-driven and results-oriented programmes that achieve the targeted goal.
- Someone who enjoys creative thinking and a natural problem solver.
- Able to engage with colleagues, peers and seniors with experience in coaching, training, mentoring and facilitating group interactions.
- Knowledgeable in Lean manufacturing with a proven track record in bringing results through use of lean tools and practices (PDCA, RCPS, autonomous maintenance, etc.).
- Able to challenge existing practices and identify improvement solutions both within the transformation team and the wider plant.
