Our client is part of a UK listed plc. Its product range is synonymous with innovation, quality and value for money. 

This is a key role reporting to the MD and has a remit to contribute fully to the executive decision making process as well as directing and controlling activities associated with the operations side of the business: manufacturing, logistics, quality and HS&E.

The Role:
– Devise and implement manufacturing and logistics strategies that contribute to the achievement of financial targets.
– Plan, direct and control production facilities so that output and quality objectives are met alongside safety and environmental standards.
– Manage logistics activities in a manner that ensures customer requirements are realised.
– Develop and manage staff in a manner that creates a collaborative workplace culture.

The Candidate:
– Graduate calibre, minimum five years experience leading the operational activities of a medium sized (c£20m) manufacturing business, ideally involving some element of metal fabrication / electronic assembly.
– Demonstrable track record of process improvement, cost reduction change management.
– Able to manage strategy and tactical issues with equal aplomb.
– First class communication skills, highly numerate and with confidence to challenge the status quo.
