Salary: £33,000 per year

We are looking for a Health and Social Care Assessor to deliver HSC Apprenticeships remotely via Zoom/ some face to face. The Health and Social Care Assessor will join a fantastic Prime Contract Holder! who continue to grow. Qualifications will be up to and including Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social.

This is a home-based role that gives you the opportunity to completely self-manage your own diary with travel around Yorkshire and Manchester. We are looking for a Health and Social Care Assessor that can manage time effectively and ensure all learners in the Wirral area are supported.

  • Salary – up to £33,000 DOE + Bonus
  • 25 holiday days + stats
  • Mileage paid at 40p per mile – very limited travel

Role responsibilities:

  • Taking full responsibility for a caseload of up to 40 learners
  • Successfully delivering L2 and L3 and HSC qualifications
  • Providing the required level of support for each Apprentice to meet their educational and vocational needs, as well as enabling timely successful completions
  • Ensuring learners remain on programme by regularly checking in and carrying out progress reviews, remotely on a 1:1 basis
  • Supporting learners with the EPA and 20% off the job training
  • Maintaining regular contact with employers throughout the full learning journey
  • Assessing learning portfolios via an e-portfolio system
  • Ensuring learner files are fully compliant and up to date
  • Be responsible for completing and maintaining appropriate internal and external quality standards

Skills and experience:

  • Qualified Tutor & Assessor (any of the following (CAVA / A1 / TAQA / PTLLS / EAT / CERT ED)
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Relevant occupational competency gained from working within the care sector (preferably managerial exp)
  • Experience delivering Apprenticeships on the new standards
  • Up to date with all relevant changes within the Training & Education sector – funding / qualifications / eligibility
  • Strong communicator, able to effectively manage a caseload of apprentices and demonstrate good time management skills
