The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

As a flexible Test and Development Technician, you will work primarily in the company’s Engineering department and be an integral part of the Team.

In a typical week in this Test and Development Technician role your many tasks will include:

• Setting up and calibrating various testing machines.

• Mechanical testing of work in progress, incoming materials, finished products and development samples ensuring product conformity to set standards when necessary.

• Manufacture of test billets and samples by moulding and/ or machining.

• Develop the R&D room into a more customer friendly environment to allow for a more customer facing approach to testing – visual aids, machine upgrades, room layout.

To succeed in this test and development role, a passion for learning and engineering is a must. Experience of working within testing or quality would be advantageous but attitude is the key ingredient. Degree, apprentice trained or HND/ HNC all considered.
