Salary: £26,000 per year

Could you work with three young men who have complex learning disabilities and autism, to help them grow and develop?

We are looking for a Support Worker to join our friendly team in Stoke Mandeville, near Aylesbury. You will have a great opportunity to expand your skills over time by working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of health and therapy professionals.

It would be helpful if you have worked with people with learning disabilities and/or autism before, including behaviour that can be challenging. Experience or qualifications that support the young men is in the fields of psychology, social science or speech and language therapy, However it is not essential. If you have the qualities of empathy, kindness and patience, we will provide all the training you need.

You must be a good team worker with excellent communication skills, who understands the need for continuity and stability of support for the young men you will be working with. This role will be on a rota that includes daytimes, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. There will also be occasional sleep-ins.

It is essential that you have a manual UK driving licence as you will be required to drive the service vehicle.

Salaries are dependent on successful completion of a probation period and on relevant qualifications. Part time and term time only positions are pro rata.
