CAD Technician

Manpower are currently recruiting for a CAD Technician, carrying out the following role;

Job Description
To carry out various design projects using CAD software including the design of completely new Bathroom Pods in both Composite Material and Steel.
Detail design of components and sub-assemblies.
Undertake other technical duties including the compilation of accurate Bill of Materials information.
Maintaining Current Product Developments through updating relevant drawing and related project information.
Control of accurate information issued to Production.
Participation in the creation of New Product Developments using best practice methodology and Design for Manufacture principles.

Qualifications and Experience
BTEC National Certificates and Diplomas in Mechanical, Manufacturing of Civil Engineering.
City & Guilds Certificates in 2D and 3D Computer Aided Design.
Degree Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design and Civil Engineering.
Relevant Experience gained from allied industries such as Modular Building, Caravan Design and Manufacturing, Mechanical and Electrical related design and installation activities.

* An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* The ability to work as part of a team.
* The ability to meet deadlines.
* Ideally experience from a high volume manufacturing organisation.
