Salary: £50,400 – £54,000 per year
My client is a leading provider of multi-utility services to the UK construction sector with an impressive background to date.
Currently, they are working on some of the largest (and smallest) developments within the UK, their order book is ever increasing and their clients include various national civil engineering contractors and developers.
A critical area to the growth of the business is the ability to provide their clients with a team that demonstrates a “can do” attitude to the construction of infrastructure projects on site. An integral part of this is an understanding of their requirements while at the same time offer solutions as part of their “one stop shop” capability.
The position will entail working closely with the Project Delivery team and end users including consultants, developers and network asset owners. Extensive knowledge of the Utility Industry and have a background in Electric is required.
Requirements:
• You will be required to play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within the commercial requirements.
• Multi Utility experience is preferred
• Ability to work with 3rd parties / developers
• Supervision/management of Projects / new site developers
• Supervision/management of Teams / Sub Contractors
• Ordering plant & materials as required
• Electrical engineering qualification, or demonstrable level of achievement through experience
• Maintaining good working relationships and close liaison with clients and members of the public.
• Dealing with health, safety and environment issues.
• Ensure high standard of quality of work is maintained from the supporting staff.
• Monitoring overall project performance.
• Experience in overseeing multiple sites
Experience / Skills:
• Technical utilities / Construction Background in either Electric, Gas or Water is required (GNO/NCOW)
• Supervisory Background (Hands On)
• Plant Operating Experience beneficial
• Used to managing teams of different disciplines.
• Highways Experience
• NRSWA Ticket – Supervisory level
• Safe Control of Operations (SCO 1,2 and 5)
• Strong Communicator
