Bid Writer

Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading FM provider as a Bid Writer.

The purpose of the Bid Writer is to produce professionally written tender content that clearly articulates value proposition to the customer opportunity to secure new contract wins.

You will be responsible for delivering compelling tender submissions that professionally and concisely answers the questions asked, delivers customer benefits and demonstrates the value our client will add through well crafted copy.

The role will work as part of a tender project team to deliver to the required standard and time scales.

The role is based in Birmingham but you only need to be in the office one day a week. The role includes a good bonus which is easily achievable.

Responsibilities include:

● Accountable for the overall content quality of bid submissions.

● Responsible for meeting deadlines to deliver content for bids / tenders

● Keep accurate records and save material to the central ‘bid library’ for future use.

● Suggest design improvement to the existing templates.

● Suggest reference points, evidence and case study content requirements to enhance bid performance.

● Understand client requirements and time scales to prioritise and manage your own time

● Write compelling information bespoke to each customer opportunity based on specific questions asked

● Proof read and edit documentation

● Work alongside management and the tender project team to develop bid strategies for tender opportunity

● Network with subject matter experts and translate their content to support proposal

● Apply client feedback and contribute to the internal lost opportunity debrief process

Qualifications

Essential:

● English degree or related qualification

● Writing Qualification or a professional writing background

● Experience of working on tenders with a value in excess of £500,000

● Experience working on MS or Google packages

● Bid writing experience within a utilities, construction or facilities management field

● Ability to work to tight deadlines and work under pressure

● Ability work across multiple high value tenders at the same time

● Ability to manage own workload

● managing several stakeholders

Desirable:

● Experience working with graphic design packages

● CIM or APMP membership

● Project Management qualification and experience
