An Interim Supply Chain Director is required to effect change and deliver best practice within a growing SME (part of a National group). With ambitious sales plans and an ever-changing portfolio of products driven by new technology, optimisation of supply chain is critical to the success of this business.

To be considered for the position of Interim Supply Chain Director, you will:

– Have a significant record of success implementing best practice, process and procedures to optimise supply chain, inventory and warehousing functions

– Be recognised as an inspirational leader with the ability to manage, coach and develop a senior team of purchasing, sales, and operational planning staff

– Have experience of Supply Chain Management in a medium volume, high variety, electro-mechanical product environment.

– Be commercially aware with a strong analytical ability and good understanding of operating MRP systems.

– Have excellent communication skills with the credibility to develop robust working relationships internally and externally with suppliers

– Have a clear understanding of how to develop an effective planning function in an ever-changing environment driven by new product introduction

Qualifications for this Interim Supply Chain Director position will be to Degree level or above with at least 5 years’ experience working as a Supply Chain Director.

This will be a 6 month assignment during a busy period of expansion with the aim of laying down solid Supply Chain and S&OP foundations. Your time with the business must show clear improvement but also leave a lasting legacy on which the company can build.
