Salary: £60,000 per year
We are looking for a main contractor’s Site Manager who will report to a visiting Contracts Manager with an Essex-based firm that works at Ford’s car plants in Dagenham and Basildon.
However, the successful candidate’s first scheme is to be a £2m re-roofing project at a factory in Daventry. The duration of this contract is six months so you will be accommodated in a company flat during the week with a view to quick promotion to Project Manager thereafter and being given on-going work in London. Ideally, then, you will be located within a two hour drive of both Daventry and Dagenham.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage a workforce of around 25 subcontractors so must have a thorough grasp of safe methods of working and hold a minimum of SMSTS accreditation, Black CSCS card preferred.
Essential technical skills include the ability to read drawings, writing risk assessments and method statements and full IT proficiency.
Interviews can be offered from w/c 29th August with a view to commencing employment in the last week of September.
Salary neg around £60,000 + pension + company van.
