Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Site Supervisor on behalf of a thriving and established highways / civil engineering contractor for ongoing work across the North East (Area 14).
They are a highly reputable highways contractor with a consistent stream of work due to winning significant work on Highways England framework. They have delivered highways construction and maintenance projects for 30 years across England covering various areas and have grown to now have several regional offices.
This role will be based around the North East region with no working away expected.
Projects covering: highways maintenance, drainage, culverts, VRS works, ducting, utilities, groundworks etc.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for co-ordinating gangs.
- Briefing RAMS.
- Site inductions.
- HSE toolbox talks.
- Permits for work.
- Plant checks.
- Assisting Site Manager with daily running of site.
Experience required:
- Experience working as Supervisor on civil engineering & highways projects, sub-contractor or PC packages.
- Experience supervising as number 2 on projects £500k+.
- Detailed knowledge with: highways, drainage, VRS work etc.
- SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS.
Remuneration:
A salary of up to £54,000 (dependant upon experience) plus company vehicle or allowance, fuel card, annual leave, pension scheme and more.
