Highway Site Supervisor – Bury St Edmunds

Temporary cover until Christmas over seeing a night programme of Highway maintenance works.

Location: – Bury St Edmunds

Duration: – up to 21st December 2020

Day rate: – £360 – £384per Night shift (Monday Night to Friday Night)

Role Description

Working on a highways maintenance project you will be supervising the Night shift in carrying out minor repairs and replacement of street furniture. Working with a small team you will be updating the paperwork and overseeing the gang to ensure each night the programme is completed.

You need to have worked in the Highways sector before, used to managing gangs and updating paperwork ready for the morning hand over. Also with it being on nights you need to be living in the local area for safety be it living or lodging.

Reporting in to the Construction manager at the beginning and end of each shift with your completed paperwork. This work is off line due to road and lane closures but having a VRS qualification would be an advantage for this position.

Required Experience

Highway experience – used to leading a gang completing minor works
VRS qualification would be preferred
Living or lodging in the East Anglia region due to the working hours and you own personal safety
