Warehouse Manager

Salary: £36,000 – £54,000 per year

My client, a fast-growing b2b and ecommerce sporting apparel and accessories business seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager – North Manchester.

This is a brand-new opportunity to work within a successfully company who have recently moved to new premises and need an experienced Warehouse Manager. The successful candidate will facilitate the smooth running of the warehouse and its team of 12. Your role will involve: –

* Providing leadership and direction to the warehouse teams to ensure that people are engaged, focused and delivery their potential and ensuring all training skills are up to date.

* Setting up new systems and processes from scratch

* Managing and supervising a team of 12 within the warehouse

* Ensuring all B2B and B2C orders are despatched within the scheduled timeframes.

* Ensuring any stock issues are investigated and addressed promptly.

* Ensure stock checks are completely regularly.

* Make sure stock is accurate.

* Making continuous improvements within the warehouse

* Ensuring shipments of goods coming in and out run smoothly.

* Liaising with all office members regarding the ordering and shipment of goods

* Dealing with shipment queries

* Responsible for managing health & safety within the warehouse.

* Responsible for recruitment and training of new members of staff within the warehouse

* Responsible for appraisals, ones to ones and career development of team members

* Setting targets and motiving the teams

* Assisting with picking and packing only during busy periods

* Working from the warehouse management system (SAP) to input information.

* Working closely with head office to ensure deliveries and pallets of goods arrive and get delivered smoothly and efficiently.

To apply you must have: –

* Warehouse management experience within a wholesaler/FMCG/apparel or import/export business

* Knowledge and experience of SAP or bonded warehousing would be advantageous

* Knowledge and experience of bonded warehousing is essential

* People management experience within a warehouse environment

* Experience of implementing changes and processes.

* Ideally you will be available immediately

* Car owner/driver

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an established a friendly business who offer: –

* Monday to Thursday 8-5 and 8 am – 4.30 pm on a Friday (some weekend work may be required during busy periods)
