Teaching Assistant

Salary: £26,000 – £31,200 per year

SENDhelp are seeking a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to work in collaboration with our partner school.

This role is for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to start with us as soon as possible on a long term basis. For the right candidate, this position can extend to a permanent placement. As our new Teaching assistant, you will be working 1:1 supporting a child with a hearing impairment. The pupils in question communicates through makaton, so an in depth understanding of makaton and evidence of training will be required.

The successful Teaching Assistant will,

• Have previous experience working with children with complex needs
• have evidence supporting training in makaton
• Be available to start work ASAP and willing to travel to and from Luton
• Have an enhanced DBS on the update service
