Production Planner – Building Products Manufacturing

Leading manufacturer of products used within the building and construction sectors seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced production planners for a permanent role in South Yorkshire

Summary: Work closely with the MRP Controller to identify available raw materials and create weekly production plans for all production departments to ensure that customer orders are able to be produced on time and in full.

JOB ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Prepare and circulate clear and accurate production plans in a timely manner
•Create, activate and complete works orders through appropriate system transactions
•Daily updating of production plans to incorporate any additional and or ad hoc requirements (for example replacement products and GRNs)
•‘Kit Issue’ raw materials to works orders on a daily basis
•Timely communication of any production planning issues to Material Control Manager and MRP Controller providing solutions and action plans
•Data Analysis & Presentation (Word and Excel)
•Provide support as required for company stock takes

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

•Understanding of the supply chain and MRP systems
•Basic IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word)
•Experience of an ERP applications
•Demonstrated ability to work independently
•Numeracy skills required
•Good communication skills
•Willing to learn and be part of the team
•Eye for detail
