Part-Time Ticket Sales Agent – Heathrow Airport

One Resourcing Ltd are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who are a leading Ground Handler for their Heathrow operation for a Part-Time Ticket Sales Agent.

Overview:

To offer a full ticketing service to the passengers of our International Customer Airline, in line with Company and Airport procedures and relevant training received. To offer the highest levels of customer service, exceeding passenger expectations of the airline travel experience.

Main duties and accountabilities:

Providing a professional service to the passengers of our customer airlines and ensuring that the reputation of both the client and the Customer airline is maintained
Providing a reservation service to both the business and leisure traveller and ensuring the customers requirements are met in full
Calculating and processing excess baggage payments through the airlines reservation system and ensuring that the airlines revenue is maintained
Recalculating fares and reissuing tickets on an ad-hoc basis to meet the ever changing needs of our customer airline passengers and ensuring that the airlines revenue is maintained through the correct fares and fare rules being applied
Reissuing tickets for passengers facing disruption in an involuntary situation and ensuring that any delay is kept to a minimum and the reputation of our customer airlines is maintained
Arranging hotel accommodation and or ground transportation for passengers as and when required to do so at the request of our customer airlines

Key Requirements:

Experience providing ticketing services to a major international airline, preferably within an airport environment
Previous experience using Amadeus Reservation systems and an in depth knowledge of IATA fares and ticketing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Fluency in a second language would be desirable
A good working knowledge of Airlines and Airport Regulations
Excellent customer service skills
Working a 21 hour week on a 4 on – 4 off shift basis with shifts to cover the 24 operation, the hourly rate of pay for this position is £26,000.
