In this job you will…

– Draw up website specifications, design sample layouts and graphics, code using a variety of software and edit content
– Data handling and data analysis
– Debug code and re-designing web pages

As an apprentice web developer you will be working with the existing team to plan, create and code web pages using both technical and non –technical skills to produce websites to fit customer requirements.

Your training will…

Start with a 12-14 month IT apprenticeship, which consists of training in small groups and work based assessment, covering: Object-oriented programming (OOP), SQL data modelling, Web and systems development, Event-driven programming.

You will gain an SCQF Level 6 Diploma in Information & Telecommunications Professionals. Plus an MTA (Microsoft Technical Associate) in Software Development Fundamentals. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a long and rewarding career in Software & Web Development.

– Someone who has strong communication skills, both written and verbal
– Someone who is able to learn and apply new technologies
– Someone who has an interest and some exposure to web development
– Someone who has an analytical and systematic approach

– Someone who ideally has 5 standards (Level 1 – 3) OR 5 National Level 5 grades, both qualifications must include Maths and English
