Software Developer

My client a leading IT solutions provider are seeking to recruit a highly talented C and C++ developer to join a highly skilled development team responsible for the delivery of a cross-platform Workflow App framework that is used to build mobile workforce solutions that are used by mobile workers across the world.

Key Responsibilities

1.Hands on design and development of software components within our cross-platform (Android, iOS, and Windows) framework for workflow applications
2.Application and utilisation of agile methods across the full software lifecycle
3.Exploit latest technology and techniques to produce and deploy high quality software
4.Review other developer’s design and code
5.Design and run developer-level unit tests
6.Interpretation of business requirements to design and develop solutions with a high degree of technical excellence
7.Ability to assist in the accurate planning and estimation of work packages
8.Ability to mentor more junior developers

*Strong demonstrable experience in developing with C/C++
*Solid understanding of software engineering best practices across the lifecycle
*Must be a good written and verbal communicator and enjoys working within a team
*A strong desire to learn new skills, come up with new ideas where needed and to apply them in a timely manner
*Used to reviewing other developer’s design and code as well as having their own output reviewed
*Ability to apply experience gained to aid design and implementation of new products

*Demonstrable development experience using Android, iOS, or Windows Phone 8
*Experience working on hybrid mobile apps combining native coding with Javascript / HTML5 / CSS
*Linux/Unix exposure (perl/sh/makefiles)
*Experience of working with an agile or iterative development environment
*Experience of using JIRA
