Full Stack Developer (PHP / Js)

Salary: £78,000 per year

Full Stack Developer (PHP / JS), Remote, £65k

This role can be totally remote if you are based in the UK, with an average of 1 day per month in the London office.

Avanti Recruitment is working with a successful software company in the TV and video advertising domain. As a Full Stack Developer, you will work in a diverse and fun environment, adding new functionality to exciting greenfield projects and supporting existing and successful projects. You will be developing PHP applications with a JavaScript / React front end, in an AWS environment. Previous experience in React and AWS isn’t mandatory.

Some key areas of focus will include;

• Designing REST API’s
• Coding backend PHP services
• Develop in React / Redux for UI
• Be an advocate for best practice including clean code, test automation and CI/CD
• Enjoy full lifecycle development of a feature from original idea through to deployment

You will be working in a strong DevOps culture, working on well tested code, deployed by CI pipelines on reproducible infrastructure.

Skills & Requirements;

• Strong track record (3+ years in a commercial Dev role), ideally as a Full Stack Developer
• Strong PHP Development experience
• Good JavaScript Framework / Library experience such as React
• Have good knowledge of frontend technologies / tools: NPM, Webpack, Babel, TypeScript
• State management using Redux would be an advantage
• Writing great software adhering to agile software engineering practices (DRY principles, TDD, CI, automated testing)
• Experience of SQL / NoSQL databases

Nice to have;

• Experience with BDD
• Experience with Material UI and CSS in JavaScript (e.g. styled-components)
• Experience with AWS
