Full Stack Developer

Salary: £84,000 – £108,000 per year

The Full Stack Developer is responsible for developing and deploying front-end and back-end elements for the websites, web applications and other digital properties that create an exceptional digital brand experiences for prospects and customers as they move through the customer journey from awareness to loyalty.

Description of Essential Job Functions

Responsible for converting business requirements into exceptional digital experience (speed, simplicity, aesthetics) using best-practice design patterns and modern development technologies (Headless/Hybrid) that deliver highly responsive and decoupled digital properties that follow our brand styles. 

Define and deliver overall technical architecture of all brands digital properties: building a centralized reusable library of components to maximize efficiency and consistency in share components for use in multi-tenant environment.

Own all environments (dev,stage,production) and related configurations, code repository, backup process, uptime, and deployment process and schedule.

Conduct monthly/quarterly technical performance reports for all digital properties: speed, uptime, code efficiency, etc. Share with leadership team in a visual and explanatory manner.

Recommend and help implement technologies needed to achieve business requirements.

Ensures compliance with and/or follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.

Must have a strong hunger to grow and learn as a developer.

Actively supports and participates in the safety program, both for self-protection and the protection of other employees, by reading and abiding by all requirements in the Safety Manual and Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).

Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.

Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

Complete web tactics and handle workflow and timelines of multiple, simultaneous projects, with prioritization guidance from supervisor

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education and work experience
• 5+ years of experience as a full stack developer creating web apps.
• 3+ years of experience using React (Next.js), Node.js with Typescript to building scalable web applications
• 3+ years developing within Drupal environment (Acquia Cloud experience a plus)
• Strong front-end skills including mobile-first development with an ability to convert designed visuals to high performance, responsive components with React using Redux for state management
• Confident in using Node.js to build backend services and APIs (GraphQL and REST API)
• Experienced with JavaScript testing frameworks (Jest or Mocha)
• Experienced in writing responsive and clean HTML and CSS with Sass (SCSS)
• Familiarity with database technology such as MongoDB and MySQL
• Proficient in code versioning tool Git and working with GitHub
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with agile and DevOps (dev, stage, production deployment)
• Bonus skills: TailwindCSS, Python, PHP, SVGs, and Three.js
