Controls/Automation Engineer – Wakefield – Days role!

Elevation are currently working with a fast-paced family run manufacturing business who are looking for a driven and passionate controls/ automation engineer to join the engineering team. The role is a hands-on role, assisting the maintenance team, running exciting large projects, and improving lines with re programming and designing.

As a Controls Engineer you will be:

* Working for a leading fast paced manufacturing business
* Responsible for designing and testing new control systems to improve lines, plant and downtime
* Project management- large project including and automation project
* Analysing Data, and data management
* PLC – Fault find, programming- Siemens s5, s7, Allen bradley, Mitsubishi, HMI, Scada programming
* Hands on, liaising with Maintenance, Design and Operational teams
* Working on large breakdowns, supporting Engineers with breakdowns, training maintenance engineers on new systems, and all-round support on electrical maintenance and repairs

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

* Apprentice trained in electrical engineering with the relevant qualification
* Maintenance and Controls experience in a manufacturer
* PLC- SCADA, HMI – programming and fault finding
