Sales & Marketing Manager (Director Potential)

A first rate SALES & MARKETING MANAGER with Director potential is immediately required to secure incremental business from existing client relationships and through targeted new business development. A technically conscious, consultative sales & marketing professional with relevant experience and the ability to earn a more senior role within the business, you will quickly deliver profitable new business and create the platform for long term growth.

Key tasks:
– Maximise existing client relationships, exploiting all opportunities for additional supply, installation, repair and maintenance business with diesel power generation clients.
– Rapidly develop new client opportunities, building credible relationships with decision makers and key influencers (within industrial and utility markets).
– Working closely with operational engineering colleagues, ensure that service offerings continue to be aligned with evolving client needs.
– Develop and then manage the sales function, positioning the client offering and developing the client relationship management competence to maximise revenues.
– Contribute to the long term development of the business– the ideal candidate will have the ambition and ability to be part of the senior team in the medium term.

Package: salary negotiable (depending upon experience) plus perf- related bonus + car & benefits

Location: Northern England (with UK travel initially)

Candidate profile:

– Consultative SALES & MARKETING MANAGER / DIRECTOR with relevant experience in technical sales environments.
– Diesel power or relevant industrial / utilities power sales background ideal.
– Technically credible, able to work closely with mechanical / electrical engineering colleagues and client managers in delivering solutions-led products & services.
– Demonstrable track record of business growth with a relevant client base (inc. large, blue-chip clients).
– Evidence of managing relevant technical, consultative sales processes through tenders/quotations to after-sales, retaining ownership of client issues and building partnership-based client relationships.
– Ambitious and with potential to make a significant, direct contribution to the delivery of strategic business development goals.
