PULSE is delighted to have been given the opportunity to assist a nationwide organisation renowned for providing sexual health services. We are looking for a permanent, part time, Lead Sexual Health Nurse to work 21 hours per week.

Based in West London, as the Lead Nurse you are able to organise your own diary to work the 21 hours as required.

The Lead Sexual Health Nurse will be delivering a nurse-led service within a secure young offenders facility. This facility provides a service for 15 – 21 year olds.

As a Lead Sexual Health Nurse, you will work to support GP’s, other nurses and the PCT with the smooth delivery of the service addressing the particular needs of the clients who are especially vulnerable to STI’s and sexual ill-health.

Other responsibilities will involve:

· Giving negative and positive results
· STI Testing, treatment and care
· Hepatitis B vaccination
· Managing referrals as required
· HIV & Hepatitis C testing for routine clients & monitoring care plans
· Providing a Support and advice service

We are looking for a nurse with a minimum of 3 years sexual health nursing exposure and experience. Experience must be within a sexual health/GUM setting. You will need to be committed to providing a high standard of clinical care.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive full time equivalent salary of £43,422.
