Our NW based client are a food testing organisation – they are actively looking for a Site Manager to manage all key site / laboratory functions at 2 of their sites

Duties for this position will include:-

– Understanding the commercial nature of the testing performed in the food laboratories, adding value and ultimately generating further success
– Keeping abreast of key technical / product testing activities, enabling change to facilitate improvements
– Managing core laboratory activities, enhancing efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction
– Working with customers, delivering on all aspects of the business that have an impact to the business
– Leading a team of 6 direct reportees and all site staff indirectly
– Effectively leading teams, demonstrating the route to success whilst understanding constraints in areas and consequently initiating continuous improvement projects
– Resolving any site issues effectively
– Delivering a business plan, creating reports
– Leading by example, performing hands on product testing / quality maintenance where and when necessary

Applications are invited from candidates with a BSc / MSc / Phd, together with previous suitable site management / operations skills and experience, ideally with food product testing knowledge and experience.

(Candidates should note that this role will involve working 2 saturdays of every month)

This is a permanent (or temporary) position offering a salary of up to £66,000(depending on skills and experience)
