Youth Offending Officer / Children’s Services / Stockton

Randstad Care are currently recruiting temporary Qualified Youth Offending Officers to join a busy Youth Offending team within Children’s services in Stockton. The rate of pay is between £18 – £25.2per hour depending on candidates relevant background and experience.

As a Qualified Youth Offending Officer Ideal Candidates will have:

– Passion about improving the outcomes for Children and Young People by listening to the voice of the child, young person and their families, understanding their needs and working together to agree how these needs will be met with the right help and support.
– To fulfil a range of YOS case management responsibilities to children and young people, predominantly with complex needs and risks.
– 2+ years post qualified experience in Youth Offending Teams.
– HCPC registered.
– Social Worker Qualification.
– Able to obtain a satisfactory enhanced DBS certificate.

For the Qualified Youth Offending Officer Responsibilities Will Include:

– Devise, deliver and coordinate a range of interventions, both individual and group based, which make full and appropriate use of resources within the YOS and provided by partner agencies.
– To supervise and manage the full range of statutory orders for young people in the youth justice system, including parenting orders. To enforce court orders, where necessary.
– To escort young people as required.
– Work within local authority guidelines.
