Salary: £26,000 per year
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Families Support Worker to work along children and young people in the Bridgend area at a rate of £26,000 hourly.
As a Families support worker, you will be responsible for providing a direct service to children, young people and their families/carers, in line with the Families First guidance and local and national legislation and guidance. Other responsibilities include
– undertaking service user assessments including assessments of risk to inform casework planning in line with service and national standards
– to facilitate and chair multi-disciplinary planning meetings and reviews to ensure casework plans are agreed, implemented and monitored in line with agreed service standards
– to be aware of and have an understanding of all relevant legislation, guidance, policy and procedure and to attend all relevant meetings reviews and court hearings, producing reports and giving evidence verbally and in writing as required.
You will be required to have a professional and empathetic approach with the understanding of how to deal with behavioural problems. Other requirements include
– the ability to build strong relationships and be able to adapt your approach to the individuals needs or requirements
– a passionate approach to improve outcomes for young children and their families whilst providing high quality services to support other to achieve their personal aspirations
You will have a dedicated consultant to help guide you through the recruitment process along with accrued holiday hours. Other benefits include
