This is an excellent opportunity to join a major Brighton / Worthing based organisation who are undergoing a significant business transformation programme. You’ll be able to significantly contribute to this change programme which has received board level backing and has a multi-million pound change portfolio. The change will affect all sites, all business units and well as having a positive impact on customer service with the aim of them becoming the most respected business in the Utilities market. Part of the reason for the transformation programme is changes to legislation and compliance within the sector and the impacts will affect people, processes and technology. The scope includes operational delivery, customer delivery, employee experience, asset management and corporate IT systems.

You will be expected to work on a variety of change programmes, drawing on your knowledge and experience. This is a critical role where you will be working closely with business leads, senior managers and programme managers.

The Business Change Analyst’s primary objective is to support the Programmes within the existing portfolio by developing the blueprint for change and defining the requirements needed to deliver the desired change. It also includes ensuring business alignment by testing solutions with stakeholders and users during the delivery phase.

Specification:

* Your primary objective is to support the Programmes within the existing portfolio to develop a blueprint for change by determining the requirements needed to deliver the desired change as specified in the business case. You will ensure business alignment by testing solutions with stakeholders and users during the delivery phase.
* You will be responsible for undertaking the technical analysis required (within a Lean framework) to model and document changes to the enterprise architecture.

Accountabilities

* To develop a thorough understanding of the business drivers, project scope and objectives in order to determine the business requirements for the change
* Engage with project stakeholders to understand and capture all business requirements within the boundaries of the agreed scope
* Document the business requirements
* Analyse the business requirements and assess the capability of current processes and systems to meet them
* Review the business requirements of other change Programmes to map dependencies and to identify opportunities to join up and do things once
* Recommend appropriate solutions, applications and technology
* Engage with project stakeholders to test and socialise the proposed solutions, applications and technology
* Design and produce visual maps and models to support the recommendations for effective solutions to issues
* Review requirements versus current status to help develop, establish and validate the blueprint for change
* Contribute to the development of the high-level and detailed design, and the business case as required
* Document recommendations for implementing the blueprint for change, including building a credible feasibility study
* Conduct walkthroughs as necessary with stakeholders (internal and external) in order to secure relevant feedback
* Undertake the technical analysis required to model and document changes to the enterprise architecture
* Understand, advocate and support the organisational Change and IT Strategies
* Analyse industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential opportunities and impacts on the proposed solution.

* Supporting the delivery of major transformational change within a complex programme environment (Waterfall and / or Agile)
* Collecting, interpreting and consolidating data and information from many different sources
* Presenting complex information in a clear and compelling way, including visually
* Ensuring adhesion to robust programme governance
* Balancing the long-term (or ‘big picture’) and short-term implications of individual recommendations and decisions
