Dementia Support Manager
A support management role for one of the UK`s leading charities.
Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.
Position: Dementia Support Manager (North East London)
Location: Tower Hamlets
Contract type: Fixed term maternity cover until 31 March 2017 (Opportunity for secondment is available)
Hours: 28 per week
Salary: £26,000per year.60 per year (actual)

About the Role:
We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced individual to join our North East London Locality team to provide line management to a small team that provides services to people affected by dementia, so good team leadership, negotiation skills and a good knowledge of IT are essential.
The role offers variety and opportunities for professional growth. There`s the opportunity for flexible working arrangements and, as our services develop, to adjust working hours as well.
In turn, you will play a key role in supporting current services, service user involvement, developing and sustaining partnerships with key organisations. Experience of working with other professionals from a range of organisations and community groups is essential.
About You:
will be educated with relevant qualifications and demonstrable experience. You should have experience of report writing and an understanding of voluntary and statutory services.
The post is based in Mile End Hospital, London E1 although the postholder may also work across the North East London Locality.
