Supply Chain Manager

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are currently looking for a senior Procurement Professional to work for a successful precision engineering company based in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right professional to take on a challenging role that allows you to make lasting improvements within a successful engineering business.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

Lead and develop a team of five, demonstrating the ability to make positive changes
Develop KPI’s to ensure delivery of the teams’ performance
Source new supply strategies where existing vendors are no longer competitive
Leading commercial negotiations in line with business strategies
Identifying areas of improvement by monitoring and analysing the existing supply chain management system
Produce supplier business plans that will support the companies requirements
Maintain and develop strategic supplier relationships

Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

– Preferably MCIPS qualified
– Experience of working within an Aerospace, Automotive or Medical manufacturing environment
– Extensive Strategic Procurement background with proven ability to implement new processes and procedures
– Proven success in negotiating costs and time scales with distributors and vendors which have resulted in significant savings
– Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
– The motivation to continually identify areas of improvement and influence others
