Stockroom Controller / Stores Person

A leading scientific / medical company are looking for an additional member to join their highly successful and growing team. The company are a manufacturer and supplier of instruments and software to the Life Science industry including Hospitals, Universities, Pharmaceutical Companies and they distribute their products all over the world.

You will be organised and a confident communicator, dealing with both internal department and external customers. We are looking for candidates with current or recent storeman experience. You should have a good grip of Maths knowledge and also experience of using Excel. Ideally you will have experience of stock audits, ordering new materials and maintaining the stock.

Please note, you must have a driving license.

Responsibilities:

• Picking parts – Picking of electrical and mechanical parts to a printed picking list. Booking in and out of good. Creating shortage lists. Organising picked parts into order for assembly department.
• Goods in – Receiving goods, checking quantity and quality. Booking in using the system. Putting parts away. Ensuring the stockroom in kept clean and tidy.
• Spares order picking and packing – Picking and packing parts for spares orders. Careful handling of those parts that are very fragile / expensive. Any other tasks as necessary to undertake the role effectively.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30.
