Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the Global Digital Technology Delivery team as they work towards realising its Digital Vision which technology firmly underpins.
The role will report into the Head of Delivery and be responsible for the delivery of a range of change related projects and programmes as part of a prioritised delivery portfolio. The projects align to the companies Digital Vision around Data, Products and Automation.
The role: Senior Project Manager
Manage the successful delivery of a variety of software or infrastructure projects
Experience of managing projects using cloud services
Experience of managing data related projects where companies want to gain insights from data analysis.
Competently manage simultaneous projects as part of a programme
Ensure an effective governance model is in place to support the delivery of the project(s)
Work with a varied set of global stakeholders and develop effective relationships
Build motivated, delivery focussed teams
Articulate and document sound business cases, with clearly defined measurable business outcomes and benefits
Produce sufficiently detailed plans and project related documents
Engage in business change related activities to ensure projects are successfully adopted and support benefits realisation
Demonstrate flexibility to operate across range of delivery methodologies from Agile to traditional project delivery approaches
Proactively bring together cross-functional stakeholders to define and agree prioritised sets of deliverables
Work closely with the project and technical specialist teams to ensure business needs are understood and delivered by the project
Engage in commercial and procurement activities, demonstrating a commercial mindset
Oversee the delivery of agreed management products and technical deliverables as agreed within the projects business case, scope and projects governance
Requirements and skills: Senior Project Manager
Demonstrable experience of delivering projects in accordance with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Strong project management skills with demonstrable experience of delivery across a varied portfolio
Experience of managing projects in relation to cloud and data /analytics
Be able to engage both with technical teams and business stakeholders to achieve desired business outcomes & benefits
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrable ability to manage and influence stakeholders of all levels
Comprehensive skills around Problem, Issue, Risk and Change Management
Be able to competently manage multiple projects in a demanding environment
Strong risk assessment, problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills
Excellent skills in using and planning around Microsoft Project as well as Agile related products such as Kanban
Have a successful track record in delivering complex global projects and cloud migrations
Desirable: Senior Project Manager
Performed the role of a Scrum Master
Performed in a programme management capacity
Be able to contribute towards development of project delivery documents and methodology improvements
A strong commercial mindset to drive value for our Client.
Education: Senior Project Manager
Educated to degree level
A professional PM accreditation such as PRINCE2 / PRINCE2 Agile / PMP / MSP / MoR
More than 5 years’ experience of delivering projects, ideally operating at a senior project management level
