Our client Aldi is one of the fastest growing supermarkets in the world. We have vacancies for temporary to permanent maintenance assistants to work at the new Regional Distribution Centre in Goldthorpe.

Your duties will include:

Minor repairs to building.
Touching up paintwork on building.
Repainting MHE when damaged.
Battery back containers filing.
Confidential waste management.
General grounds tidy up/litter pick.
Roof cleans twice per year.
Trolley tidying up and placement.
Valeting lorry cabs.
MHE clean up.
General handyman roles (unblocking toilets etc).
Cleaning store cleaning equipment.To be considered for the role of maintenance assistant, you must have the following skills, knowledge & abilities:

Extensive racking experience
Excellent mechanic skills
Cherry Picker license preferred
Ability to work at heights
Security consciousness.
Being highly observant.
Ability to solve problems.
Being smart and agile.
Ability to work under pressure.
Good time management.
Good knowledge of electrical works.
Good knowledge of carpentry.
Have a positive attitude to work.
Ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to follow instructions.Due to the location and shift times for this position you must have your own transport.

Opportunities available include working days to suit:

Positions are offered on a 12 week temporary to permanent basis and you will transfer to permanent payroll with Aldi on week 13.
Contracts are full time, working Monday – Friday. Potential overtime on weekends.
The working hours are from 2pm – 10pm.
Contracts are for a minimum of 40 hours per year.Salary: s are £26,000per year temporary increasing to £26,000 per year once permanent.
