MFG/PRO Application Analyst

This is a fantastic opportunity for you a MFG/PRO Application Support Analyst to join a fast growing, dynamic organisation based in Northampton.

You will be responsible for the support of MFG/PRO application users in their daily tasks and application change requests.

Job Role

* Day-to-day support of MFG/PRO system issues
* Lead and collaborate with the MFG/PRO super users to manage the consistency and prioritization of developments and application setup across the sites.
* Lead and participate in system enhancement and roll-out projects
* Handling of IT user requests – development and maintenance of PROGRESS programs
* Ensure system stability and availability by proper change management control and system testing
* Manage outsourced activities (e.g. developments, services, etc.)
* Analyse business processes and advise the business in the case of useful / necessary changes
* Complete any other projects as required

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE

* Understanding of business processes
* Knowledge of the “Office Products value chain”
* Familiar with ERP application processes and configuration
* Understanding of EDI
* Knowledge of relational database structures / rules
* PC software (MS Office, Lotus Notes, etc.)
* Bespoke application programming and testing, ideally in Progress
* IT environment (technical)
* Knowledge of the Unix/Linux environment would be a plus
