The Opportunity:
Financial Controller
My client a well established business in the property industry with a turnover of £7 million, are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller, reporting into the partners of the business.
The Role:
• Manage and oversee the finance function circa £7-8 million Turnover
• Preparation of the Management accounts
• Produce annual budgets, profit and loss forecasts and provide budget variations
• Monthly senior Management meetings to agree management decisions, financial reporting to the partners and future plans for the company, including statutory accounts
• Produce cash flow forecasts and monitor daily cash flow position
• Responsible for the entire month end process ie all month end journals, fixed asset register, bank and cashbook reconciliations
• Create financial processes and set up internal controls
• Implement new processes and procedures where necessary
• Complete balance sheet control account reconciliations
• Calculate annual revenue forecasts and report on the figures
• Maintain integrity of accounts payable and accounts receivable, conduct credit control
• Prepare and submit online quarterly VAT returns, monthly CIS returns and reconciliations
• Direct liaison with external auditors and deal with their queries
• Successfully past the 1st year audit with no adjustments to the accounts

The Candidate:
‘Qualified’ or ‘Qualified by experience’
Competent and confident with using Sage or other accounting packages
Excel – using vlook ups, pivot tables
Excellent communication skills

Salary: £36,000
