Stress Engineer
Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000per annum plus benefits
Education: Degree/HND/HNC qualified or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: Experience is required in the stress analysis of complex mechanical components or aerospace airframes, or geared rotary actuators, bevel and spur gearboxes, high lift systems
Knowledge of aerospace materials, their mechanical, static and fatigue properties are essential. Knowledge of gear materials is desirable.
The Project Stress Engineer will work on High Lift flight control actuation systems and will support the development department through the compilation or review of test specifications, defined loading cycles for test and reviewing test results.
Deliverables include stress calculations and summaries, reports and approval of component and
assembly drawings.
The Project Stress Engineer will have a demonstrable understanding of the influence of manufacturing processes on the strength of components whilst a demonstrable understanding of gear manufacturing techniques and their influence on stress is desirable.
The Project Stress Engineer will be analytical and be self-motivated and able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
