Interim Finance Manager

Salary: £66,000 – £78,000 per year

Peterborough: Cambridgeshire
Hybrid Working, Likely to be WFH until spring

Our award winning European Peterborough client, has a current maternity cover requirement on a 12 month+ FTC for a Finance Manager.

The role is suited to those with a statutory reporting background, who will be responsible for all day to day, month end and year end requirements of the financial accounting function, and will work closely with the European head office to deliver Group reporting, audit, tax and statutory deadlines. You will be supported through the management of 2 experienced Finance Assistants

Key duties include

Responsible for accurate production and submission of monthly P&L and balance sheet financial accounts to agreed Corporate deadlines
Production of financial performance material for submission to Corporate and internal senior management
Authorisation of monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations
Responsible for ensuring an effective internal audit and process control environment, maintaining robust financial controls
Responsible for management and co-ordination of the Company’s interim and annual audits, both external and internal
Production of the annual statutory accounts.
Ensure accurate reporting and compliance of all taxes including VAT, CIT, PSA returns and internal tax controls.
Working capital management including debtor days
Provide financial support where needed for commercial and strategic decisions, adding value to the financial integrity of the business.
Mentor direct reports to empower and encourage their development
Support and drive initiatives in relation to constant improvements of policies, procedures and controls
Conduct a wide range of ad-hoc projects Suitable applicants will hold an ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualification, possess good excel and ERP systems skills, and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Whilst an extension or permanent conversion are not on the cards at present, the business is experience sustained growth and future opportunities may be likely.
